At first, the idea of "staying at home" seemed a little daunting, however, it's now week 2 of #socialdistancing and we're managing to keep busy and fill our days!
Now that you have some extra time on your hands, we have put together a list of activities to do around your house to keep you busy and make you feel a sense of accomplishment!
CLEAR OUT YOUR WARDROBE
This doesn't have to be a mundane job...Stick on your favourite playlist, have a mini fashion show and get rid of the clothes and shoes that you've had (and never worn) for many years. Just think of all the space you'll have to buy more.....
GIVE YOUR ATTIC/LOFT A VISIT
You will surprise yourself with what you find. It could be a box of old photographs to look at on a rainy afternoon, or old board games to keep the kids occupied or a stack of your favourite movies/books! Whilst you're up them, why not give it a "re- gig" and utilise your space better OR plan a loft conversion!?
Now is the perfect time to roll your sleeves up, and give your house a spring clean. All those things you've just never gotten round to cleaning, but now you have the time! We're talking moving that couch and hoovering underneath, freshening up your rugs, cleaning out your kitchen cupboards, the list goes on... Whilst your at it, why not rearrange your furniture to freshen up your home?
Now that you don't have any prior commitments to get in the way, now is the time to create a home workout regime and stick to it!
SPEND TIME IN THE GARDEN
Give your garden some much needed TLC after the winter months. There are so many things your can do to spruce up your garden without having to hire a landscaper!
- Cut your grass
- Power-wash your patio and decking
- Paint your woodwork- fences, gates, and deckings (it amazing what a lick of paint can do)
- Look out your garden furniture
- Repot some colourful plants (that's one way to put a smile on your face)
- Add some details: bird feeders/houses, solar lights and maybe even a garden gnome??
MUCH NEEDED "YOU" TIME
Whether it's running yourself a bubble bath, putting a face mask on and reading your favourite book, now is the time to give yourself some much needed TLC and focus on YOU.

Always dreamed of going somewhere? PLAN IT!
Use your time to research places you've always wanted to go and see- use trip advisor, read blogs and reviews and make that dream a reality.
TRY A NEW RECIPE
Bored of eating the same dinners week in week out? Well now is the time to mix things up and experiment with some new recipes.
CREATE A WISH LIST
Create a list of things you want to do, places you want to see and things you want to buy. Tick one by one off once you've achieved them and make your "wishes" a reality!
