It's time for a little change, a new project and to shake things up a bit... it's time to redecorate!
One of our team members is keeping herself busy during "lockdown" and has decided to redecorate their bedroom on a budget, and we thought she should share her plans with your all:
" When i first moved into my home 2 years ago, i focussed on renovating my kitchen, living room and other rooms, and i didn't spend much time planning my bedroom. I kept it very plain and simple, with cream, white and light grey tones, but it's the one room in my home which i am not "in love" with so it's time to shake things up a bit...
My bedroom is lucky enough to get a lot of light flowing in, so the beige/white and grey colour scheme i have just now is too WHITE and boring for me.
One of my favourite colours is green, in particularly Sage Green, and it just so happens that Sage is on trend just now! I've purchased some paint tester pots, and the colour i've chosen is Natural Sage by Johnstones, which I am going to paint all four walls with.
I have just recently purchased some new bedding from www.dusk.com and they are A M A Z I N G. I've always loved white bedding, they are easy to clean, and go with anything! I also treated myself to a new throw and cushion (see below) which luckily enough will go perfectly with my sage green walls.
I want to tie in the sage green walls with some scatter cushions so i have ordered two cushions that will add a pop of colour to bedding and match my gorgeous new throw!
Sometimes new artwork on your walls is all you need to shake things up a bit. I stumbled across www.desenio.co.uk, a hot spot for trendy wall art and prints, and i knew i just HAD to order some prints.
After scrolling through all their products, and playing around with their "Gallery Walls" i eventually decided on my wall gallery:
To frame all these wonderful prints i've opted for oak frames.
To match the oak frames on my print wall, i have ordered a couple of frames for my dressing table from Matalan:
One last thing for the dressing table... a jewellery stand of course!!
www.oliverbonas.com have a beautiful selection of jewellery stands, boxes and trinkets....
I'm sure i will pick up some new pieces for the bedroom, but for now, i'll be busy removing wallpaper, painting and hanging my new gallery wall! Stay tuned for the final results of my new project! "
