A lot of us have moved our offices to our homes, and how many of you have gotten over the novelty of "rolling out of bed and staying in pyjamas all day?" It can be pretty challenging working from home, so here's our top tips to make it a little easier...
YOU NEED STRUCTURE
Keep using your diaries- plan out your days so that you know exactly what your tasks and to do lists are for that day. You'll feel a great sense of achievement when you get to tick them off your list at the end of the day.
GET UP AND GET DRESSED
We don't mean grab a shower and then put your pyjamas back on!! Put on something comfy but still feel dressed, do your hair and maybe pop on a little bit of lipstick? You are always more productive when you a up and "ready" for the day, trust us!
STICK TO YOUR NORMAL ROUTINE
Set your alarm for your usual time. If you used to commute quite far to work, why not use this time to do a home workout or make a nice breakfast? That will really set you up for the day!
SET SOME GROUND RULES WITH OTHERS IN YOUR HOUSE
We know you can be easily distracted with the rest of your household, so just make them aware you are working, need a quiet space to work, and only disturb you when necessary.
DEDICATE AN OFFICE SPACE
Avoid sitting in your bedroom or the couch! You want to be able to sit somewhere and switch off from all distractions.
SCHEDULE YOUR BREAKS
Have your coffee/tea and lunch breaks at the same time everyday, this will keep structure to your day. Why not step out and get some fresh air on your lunch? Whether its a 15 minute walk around the block or enjoying your lunch alfresco in your garden- step outside.
And last but not least, enjoy the benefits of working from home, stick on the slow cooker for dinner, listen to your favourite playlists and enjoy the comforts of your own home.
